Produce Report April 2026

 

Peak season for wild garlic - make the most of it now before the flavour fades. 

UK asparagus is in full flow. Official start of the season is April 23rd. 

The stone fruit season starts later this month - apricots, peaches, cherries. The first fruit are the ‘Royal’ marque from the sunny orchards of Southern Spain. 

Alphonso mangoes are a highlight this month.

Berries include Gariguettes, Frais de Bois and Tulameen raspberries . 

 

The European citrus season is  coming to an end. Amalfi lemons,  Tarocco blood oranges, kumquats still available. 

From Italy - peas, broad beans, artichokes, courgettes. 

We also recommend green almonds, chandelier garlic, purple sprouting broccoli. 

French salads from Nourrit have begun such as Escarole, Red Batavia,  Frisée, Lollo Rosso etc

END OF SEASON

-Roots are now out of season although some available from store. 

-European citrus.

-Radicchios and winter salads.
