UK asparagus is peak season and well-priced. French wild asparagus has just started. White asparagus is French or Dutch.
Purple asparagus also available.
Strawberries are also on a whole new level. Annabel's UK crop to start early May. Also Gariguette, Anais, Clery, Ciflorette, Mara de Bois, Frais de Bois, white strawberry, and Pineberry.
Peas and broad beans for a classic taste of spring.
Mushrooms include Morels, Mousseron, St George mushrooms.
Purple sprouting broccoli is great quality but dislikes hot weather.
English salads will start this month.
